WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract to provide asphaltic
concrete patch mix and hot mix asphaltic concrete to be used by the Street and Drainage
Department for street repairs; and,
WHEREAS, APAC-Texas, Inc. submitted a bid in the amounts as follows:
Asphaltic Concrete Patch Mix, FOB
Vendor's Plant $ 32.00/ton
Hot Mix/Hot Laid Asphaltic Concrete,
FOB Vendor's Plant $ 22.75/ton
Hot Mix/Hot Laid Asphaltic Concrete,
FOB Jobsite, Zone 1 $ 25.25/ton
Hot Mix/Hot Laid Asphaltic Concrete,
FOB Jobsite, Zone 2 $ 25.25/ton
Hot Mix/Hot Laid Asphaltic Concrete,
FOB Jobsite, Zone 3 $ 25.25/ton
Hot Mix/Hot Laid Asphaltic Concrete,
FOB Jobsite, Zone 4 $ 25.25/ton `
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by APAC-
Texas, Inc. is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by APAC-Texas, Inc. for an annual contract to provide asphaltic
concrete patch mix and hot mix asphaltic concrete for street repairs by the Street and Drainage
Division in the amounts stated above, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
