WHEREAS, a bid was received for the purchase of one (1) excavating and grading
machine for the Public Works Department's Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, HiWay Equipment Company, Inc. of Houston submitted a bid in the amount
of $122,486.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by HiWay Equipment
Company, Inc. is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by HiWay Equipment Company, Inc. of Houston in the amount of
$122,486.00 for the purchase of one (1) excavating and grading machine for the Public Works
Department's Streets and Drainage Division, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
