WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of approximately eighteen (18)
air masks and twenty-five (25) air cylinders for the Beaumont Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Mine Safety Appliances Company of Houston submitted a bid in the
amount of $1,793.50 for the air masks and $480.60 for the cylinders; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Mine
Safety Appliances Company of Houston is the best bid meeting specification and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Mine Safety Appliances Company of Houston for the purchase of
approximately eighteen (18) air masks and twenty-five (25) air cylinders for the Beaumont Fire
Department in the amount of $1,793.50 for the air masks and $480.60 for the cylinders, be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
