RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on January 15, 1991, the City Council of the City of Beaumont awarded
a contract to Norman Materials, Inc. in the amount of $628,889.50 for the construction of
Walden Road Concrete Pavement; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $24,375.00 increased the contract
amount to $653,264.50 and Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $8,582.40 decreased the
contract amount to $644,682.10; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 has been created in the amount of $40,831.40 to
adjust the estimated quantities to reflect quantities actually used in completing the project. A
final contract amount of $603,851.00 will result from this adjustment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change Order No. 3 with
Norman Materials, Inc. for a contract price decrease in the amount of $40,83 1.10;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is authorized to make final
payment in the amount of $30,192.55 to Norman Materials, Inc. in accordance with the terms
of the contract.
