RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of approximately 400 tons of
sodium carbonate (soda ash) for use by the Water Production Plant; and,
WHEREAS, Rhone-Poulenc Basic Chemicals Co., of Houston, Texas submitted
a bid in the amount of $0.0791 per pound; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Rhone-
Poulenc Basic Chemicals Cods the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Rhone-Poulenc Basic Chemicals Co., of Houston in the amount
of $0.0791 per pound for the purchase of approximately 400 tons of sodium carbonate (soda
ash) Water Production Plant, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1992.
