WHEREAS, Virgil E. Doggette, owner of a residence at 6775 Knollwood, has
requested the City of Beaumont to allow him to encroach a swimming pool 3.9 feet by 11.0
feet, a concrete walk 8.0 feet by 14.0 feet, and a wooden deck 10.0 feet by 14.0 feet into a
fifteen foot utility easement on property described as Lot 15, and the east two feet of Lot
16, Block 9, Dowlen West, Unit VI as depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a
part hereof for all purposes; and,
WHEREAS City staff has expended considerable time and effort in investigating the
effect of such encroachment upon the City and utilities serving the same; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be equitable to allow such encroachment at this
time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a License to Encroach to Virgil E.
Doggette, owner of a residence at 6775 Knollwood, a swimming pool 3.9 feet by 11.0 feet,
a concrete walk 8.0 feet by 14.0 feet, and a wooden deck 10.0 feet by 14.0 feet into a
fifteen foot utility easement on property described as Lot 15, and the east two feet of Lot
16, Block 9, Dowlen West, Unit VI, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for a one-
time fee of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).
