RESOLUTION
WHEREAS bids were received for a two year curbside recycling program to
provide curbside collection of commingled recyclable materials throughout the City; and,
WHEREAS, Browning-Ferris, Inc. of Nederland, submitted a bid in the amount
of $1.335 per household for the initial two year contract, term beginning in February, 1992;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Browning-Ferris, Inc. is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted; _
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Browning-Ferris, Inc. of Nederland, in the amount of $1.335 per
household for the initial two year contract and an optional third year at $1.41 per household to
provide curbside collection of commingled recyclable materials throughout the City, term
beginning in February, 1992, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
