RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of twenty (20) mobile radios
and thirty-five (35) portable radios for use by the Beaumont Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Lumberton Tower Service of Lumberton, Texas submitted a bid in
the amount of $38,925.00 for twenty (20) Kenwood TX822R mobile radios in the amount of
$815.00 each, less a $50.00 discount and thirty-five (35) Kenwood TX-330 portable radios in
the amount of $725.00 each, less a $50.00 discount; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Lumberton Tower Service is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid submitted by Lumberton Tower Service of Lumberton, Texas in the amount of
$38,925, for the purchase of twenty (20) Kenwood TX822R mobile radios in the amount of
$815.00 each, less a $50.00 discount and thirty-five (35) Kenwood TX-330 portable radios in
the amount of $725.00 each, less a $50.00 discount for use by the Beaumont Police
Department, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
