WHEREAS, on October 16, 1990, City Council awarded a contract to Alvin
G. Randolph for the construction of a Pre-Engineered Metal Building at the Water Utilities
Service Center; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was needed for extra work to complete the
building. The walk-door, which is required by City building code, was overlooked. The
extra fill material was necessary due to change in elevation of concrete slab;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 in
the contract between the City of Beaumont and Alvin G. Randolph and make final payment
in the amount of $49,240.00.
