WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract to furnish hot mix/hot laid
asphaltic concrete to be used by the Street and Drainage Department for cut out street repairs
and large section street repairs; and,
WHEREAS, APAC-Texas, Inc. of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the amounts
stated below:
PICK UP AT VENDOR'S PLANT $22.75/ton
Zone 1 $25.25/ton
Zone 2 $25.25/ton
Zone 3 $25.25/ton
Zone 4 $25.25/ton
and;
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by APAC-Texas,
Inc. is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by APAC-Texas, Inc. of Beaumont in the amounts stated above for
an annual contract to furnish hot mix/hot laid asphaltic concrete, to be used by the Street and
Drainage Department for cut out street repairs and large section street repairs, be accepted by
the City of Beaumont. 1
