RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City Council has discussed the facts of the lawsuit styled Kevin
Smith v. the City of Beaumont and City of Beaumont Water Utilities Departm8nt Cause No.
63396, in an Executive Session properly called and held; and
WHEREAS, the Council authorized the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized to settle the lawsuit styled Kevin
Smith v. the Citv of Beaumont and Citv of Beaumont Water Utilities De artment, Cause No.
63396 in the sum of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000).
