RES OLUTION
WHEREAS, both Beaumont Products and Services, Inc. and Trust Industries,
Inc. (MHMR), are defined by state law as "assigned sheltered workshops"; and,
WHEREAS, it is requested that annual contracts be awarded to Beaumont
Products and Services, Inc., for grounds and facility maintenance at the Municipal Complex,
and Trust Industries, Inc. (MHMR) of Beaumont, for grounds and facility maintenance at
Tyrrell Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to award these contracts as authorized
by State law as an "assigned sheltered workshop" to help create jobs for the severely disabled
to Beaumont Products and Services, Inc., in the amount of $4,649.92 per month for the
Municipal Complex, and Trust Industries, Inc. (MHMR), for Tyrrell Park, in the amounts of
$10,337.45 for the months of March through October and $2,941.42 for the months of
November through February, or $94,465.28 annually.
