RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for the purchase of ready
mix concrete for the Streets and Drainage Department; and,
WHEREAS, two bids were received as follows:

An evaluation of purchase from the last five (5) months reflected the following totals of 5 SK
concrete:
13 loads 223 cu. yd. Full Loads
12 loads 24 cu. yd. Partial Loads from 3/4 cu. yd to 2 cu. yd.
20 loads 42 cu. yd. Partial Loads from 2-1/4 cu. yd: to 4-3/4 cu. yd.
and,
WHEREAS, for the purpose of evaluation, the above loads and total cubic yard
figures were applied to Cowboy Concrete and Transit Mix Concrete;

COWBOY CONCRETE:
$53.50 x 223 cu. yd. = $11,930.50
12 loads x $20 + 53.50 x 24 cu. yd. = 1,524.00
20 loads x $20 + 53.50 x 42 cu. yd. = 2,647.00_
$16,101.50
TRANSMIT MIX:
$53.55 x 223 cu. yd. = $11,941.65
12 loads x $10 + 53.55 x 24 cu. yd. = 1,405.20
20 loads x $20 + 53.55 x 42 cu. yd. = 2.647.00
$15,993.85
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid listed above by
Transit Mix Concrete is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the abovementioned bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete for an annual contract for
the purchase of ready mix concrete for the Streets and Drainage Department, be, and it is
hereby, accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the ' cam
