WHEREAS bids were received for the purchase of four truck cab and chassis
mounted with knuckle boom loaders and trash hauling bodies to be used by the Sanitation
Department's Brush Collection Program; and,
WHEREAS, Smart's White GMC of Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of$335,557.00 for four trucks mounted with loader/grapples and trash hauling bodies;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's
White GMC of Beaumont is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Smart's White GMC of Beaumont, Texas in the amount of
$335,557.00 for four trucks mounted with loader/grapples and trash hauling bodies be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
