WHEREAS, bids were received for the reconstruction of Walden Road, from IH-
10, 2260 linear feet west and 930 linear feet east; and,
WHEREAS, Norman Materials Construction Company submitted a bid in the
amount of $628,889.50; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Norman
Materials Construction Company is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid submitted by Norman Materials Construction Company for the reconstruction of
Walden Road, from IH-10, 2260 linear feet west and 930 linear feet east in the amount of
$628,889.50 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is authorized to
execute a contract for such construction.
