RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1990, bids were received for the purchase of
approximately nineteen (19) water meters equipped with continuous read electronic devices built
into the lid of each meter in the amount of $66,506.80, less trade-ins valued at $1,080.00, for
use by the Water Utilities Customer Service Division; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
Sensus Technologies, Inc - Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Total Price - $26,027.25 for twelve (12) units less trade-ins valued at $570.00.
International Supply - Lufkin, Texas
Total Price - $40,479.05 for seven (7) units less trade-ins valued at $510.00.
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted above are
the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted above for the purchase of approximately nineteen (19) water meters
equipped with continuous read electronic devices built into the lid of each meter for use by the
Water Utilities Customer Service Division be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the Ae�4 day
of 1990.
