R E S O L II T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received to establish annual pricing
for personal computers of various configurations, fourteen (14)
laser printers and one (1) color printer with font and buffer
cartridges; and,
WHEREAS, Seabrook Computer of Nederland, Texas submitted
bids for fourteen (14) laser printers and personal computers of
various configurations in the following unit amounts:
HP Laser Jet III or equivalent $1,599. 00 per unit
286/40 12 Mhz with monochrome including warranty
monitor $1, 025. 00 per unit
286/40 12 Mhz with color including warranty
monitor $1,400.00 per unit
386/40 16 Mhz with monochrome including warranty
monitor $1,475.00 per unit
including warranty
386/40 16 Mhz with color
monitor $1,850. 00 per unit
386/100 33 . Mhz with color including warranty
monitor $4,200. 00 per unit
486/100 25 Mhz with color including warranty
monitor $5,450.00 per unit
including warranty
ABM, Inc. of Doraville, Georgia, submitted bids for
a C1607A Font Cartridge in the amount of $144.41 and a C1608A Two
meg buffer cartridge in the amount of $635.18; and GA Computer of
Webster, New York, submitted a bid for one color laser printer in
the amount of $1,569. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that these
bids are the lowest and best bids meeting specifications and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bids submitted by Seabrook Computer of Nederland, Texas
for the purchase of fourteen (14) laser printers and personal
computers of various configurations; ABM, Inc. of Doraville,
Georgia, for font and buffer cartridges; and GA Computer of
Webster, New York, for one color laser printer in the amounts
stated above, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
