BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to approve the ratification of a labor agreement with the Beaumont
Association of Police Officers providing for a 4 per cent increase
for all members of the bargaining unit retroactive to October 1,
1990 attached hereto as Exhibit "A" . Other provisions of the one-
year contract would be the same as in last year's contract.

WAGES
Section 1. Wages and Rates of Pav:
Effective the first pay period after
October 1, 1990 for one (1)year
Grade I - Police Officer
Start to 1 year $1,980 per month
1 year to 2 years 2,101 per month
2 years to 3 years 2,168 per month
3 years to 4 years 2,236 per month
4 years to 5 years 2,302 per month
5 years or more 2,370 per month
Grade II - Police Sergeant
0 to 5 years $2,503 per month
5 years or more 2,640 per month
Grade III - Police Lieutenant $2,854 per month
Grade IV- Police Captain $3,095 per month
Grade V* $3,351 per month
In compliance with arbitration ruling of 4/12189 and to be effective
only for the duration of such ruling.
Effective October 1, 1990, the above rates of pay reflect a four percent
(4%) increase for all members of the bargaining unit.
