WHEREAS, bids were received for 260 water meters to be
purchased by the Water Utilities, Water Distribution Division; and,
WHEREAS, A & P Water and Sewer Supply, Inc. of Missouri
City, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $9, 540. 00 and Big
State Utility of Lufkin, Texas in the amount of $12,757. 50; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by A & P Water and Sewer Supply, Inc. and Big State
Utility are the best bids meeting specifications and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by A & P Water and Sewer Supply, Inc. of
Missouri City, Texas in the amount of $9,540. 00 and Big State
Utility of Lufkin, Texas in the amount of $12,757.50 for the
purchase of 260 water meters be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the day of 1990.
