R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS bids were received for the purchase of computer
equipment for use at the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, IBM Corporation of Beaumont, Texas, submitted
a bid in the amount of $27,735.95 and Nationwide Computer of
Deerfield Beach, Florida submitted a bid in the amount of
$5, 130. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by IBM Corporation of Beaumont, Texas and Nationwide
Computer of Deerfield Beach, Florida are the lowest and best bids
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by IBM Corporation of Beaumont, in the
amount of $27, 735.95 for three (3) 3477FA3 display stations,
seventeen (17) 3467EA3 display stations, three (3) quickwriter
printers, one (1) remote control unit and a five year maintenance
agreement and the bid submitted by Nationwide Computer of Deerfield
Beach, Florida in the amount of $5, 130. 00 for one (1) twinaxil
workstation controller, two (2) 9600 BPS digital modems and a five
year maintenance agreement be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
