WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of eighty-
four 55-gallon steel litter receptacles for the City' s Central
Business District to participate in a uniform litter container
program that was proposed by BUILD, Inc. and the Clean Community
Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Keep Austin Beautiful of Austin, Texas submitted
a bid in the amount of $12, 600. 00 plus freight costs; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Keep Austin Beautiful is the best bid meeting
specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Keep Austin Beautiful of Austin, Texas,
in the amount of $12 , 600. 00 plus freight costs be accepted by the
City of Beaumont for the purchase of eighty-four 55-gallon steel
litter containers for the City's Central Business District.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
