WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing materials,
labor and equipment to replace deteriorated metal roof sections at
the Fair Park Coliseum, and to install a metal roof at the Best
Year's Center; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Swain Co. , Inc. of Beaumont in the amounts as follows
is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
Fair Park Coliseum:
Base Bid $33,941. 00
Alternate No. 1 $ 2,398.50
Alternate No. 2 $ 2, 665. 00
Alternate No. 3 $19,998. 00
Replacement Materials:
Purlins $ 4.25/lft
Insulation $ .48/sq. ft.
Downspouts $ 3 .50/lft
Cost plus 10% for materials not specified.
Best Year's Center:
Base Bid $48,537. 00
Cost plus 10% for materials not specified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Swain Company, Inc. of Beaumont in the
amounts stated above for furnishing materials, labor and equipment
to replace deteriorated metal roof sections at the Fair Park
Coliseum, and to install a metal roof at the Best Year' s Center be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
