R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 3, 1990, City Council adopted a
resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Interlocal
Agreement with Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 for the
Cartwright Drainage Relief Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreement specifies that the City
and District No. 6 are to share the cost on a 50-50 basis to bear
the cost of relocating City owned utility lines and/or structures;
and,
WHEREAS, in addition to the City's share of the
construction contract in the amount of $123,998.94, it is estimated
the City's share of the engineering fee will be approximately
$37, 000. 00, bringing the City's share to approximately $160, 000. 00,
or an increase of $60, 000. 00 over the estimated cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the estimated cost of the City's share of the engineering fee
of approximately $37, 000. 00 be accepted, bringing the City's share
to $160, 000. 00 for the construction contract between the City
Manager and Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 for the
Cartwright Drainage Relief Project.
