WHEREAS, The City Council has discussed the facts of the claim for bodily injury
damages of Verlinda Sams in an Executive Session properly called and held; and
WHEREAS, the Council authorized the settlement of the claim for bodily injury
damages;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized to settle the claim for bodily injury
damages of Verlinda Sams in the amount of Seven Thousand Five Hundred and No/100
Dollars ($7,500.00).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the full and final settlement of the claim for
bodily injury damages is hereby ratified.
