R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS on May 2, 1988, City Council awarded a contract
to Daniels Building and Construction, Inc. for the remodeling and
conversion of the Szafir Building to house the new Texas Energy
Museum; and,
WHEREAS, during the contract there were four change
orders. Change Order 1 was a deduction in the contract of
$22, 927. 00. Change Orders 2, 3 and 4 were additions in the
contract in the amount of $5, 568. 00, $21, 375. 00 and $1, 102. 00.
This resulted in a net change order of $5, 118. 00, bringing the
total project price to $1,239,708. 00. On May 12, 1989, the
building was accepted as substantially complete;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
the project and make final payment to Daniels Building and
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $61,930. 30.
