WHEREAS, bids were received for a twelve month Pilot
Curbside Separation Recycling Program to be administered by the
Sanitation Department; and,
WHEREAS, Browning-Ferris, Inc. - Beaumont District
(Nederland) submitted a bid for approximately 5,150 units (number
of units may vary due to vacancies) at $1.50 per residence and
$4.93 for replacement of containers for a total of $7,725.00 per
month; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Browning-Ferris, Inc. - Beaumont District (Nederland)
is the lowest and best bid submitted and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Browning-Ferris, Inc. - Beaumont District
(Nederland) in the amount of $7,725.00 for a twelve month Pilot
Curbside Separation Recycling Program be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
