WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract to
purchase ready mix concrete for use largely by the Streets and
Drainage Department and other City departments; and,
WHEREAS, American Builders Concrete, Inc. of Beaumont
submitted a bid in the amounts as follows:
Five sack cement: $49.45/CY
Add or deduct per sack: $3.20/sack; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by American Builders Concrete, Inc. of Beaumont, Texas,
is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by American Builders Concrete in the amounts
stated above be, and is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont.
