WHEREAS, on June 11, 1990, bids were received for the purchase of one
excavator and an optional 60 inch bucket for the Street and Drainage Department; and,
WHEREAS, Con-Equipment, Inc., of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $86,856 with a ten (10) day two percent (2%) prompt payment discount for one
Link-Belt LS-2800 Series II excavator with an additional 60 inch bucket; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Con-
Equipment, Inc. is the lowest and best bid submitted and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Con-Equipment, Inc., in the amount of$86,856 with a ten(10) day
two percent (2%) prompt payment discount be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
