R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, a bid was received for the purchase of one (1)
John Deere Model 570B motor grader to replace a 1971 Gallion motor
grader in the Streets and Drainage Department; and,
WHEREAS, Stewart and Stevenson Services, Inc. of
Nederland, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $68,996. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Stewart and Stevenson Services, Inc. is the lowest bid
meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That one John Deere Model 570B be purchased from Stewart and
Stevenson Services, Inc. of Nederland, Texas in the amount of
$68,996. 00.
