R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont, Texas is a management agency for
wastewater treatment and water quality maintenance as designated in the
approved 208 Water Quality Maintenance Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed its wastewater needs and found that it is
necessary to construct wastewater facilities to meet these needs; and,
WHEREAS, the City had an engineering plan prepared in 1989 for
improvements to wastewater collection and treatment facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the City has had a revised engineering plan prepared in 1990, in
response to new developments, for improvements to wastewater collection and
treatment facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the City has applied to the Texas Water Development Board for a
loan from the State Revolving Fund for the first phase of construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City accepts the revised engineering plan as submitted to the City by
Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. and as presented at a public hearing held on May 14,
1990 at the Water Treatment Plant in Beaumont, Texas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will make appropriate efforts to
obtain funding for remaining phases of the project, including applications for
additional State Revolving Fund loans as appropriate.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will manage the implementation of
the improvements proposed in the engineering plan upon receipt of funding.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City has or can readily obtain all
necessary legal, technical, financial, institutional, and managerial resources
to insure construction, operation, and maintenance of the proposed complete
treatment Works, according to the proposed schedule.
