WHEREAS bids were received for the purchase of concrete
meterboxes complete with concrete tops with cast-iron reader lids
and additional separate concrete and cast iron tops for the Water
Utilities Department/Water Distribution Division; and,
WHEREAS, Golden Triangle Pipe and Water Supply Company
of Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $31, 100. 08;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted in the amount of $31, 100. 08 is the lowest and best bid
meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted above by Golden Triangle Pipe and Water
Supply Company of Beaumont, Texas, in the amount of $31. 100. 08 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
