R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS bids were received for furnishing the City with
an annual maintenance agreement for the telephone system; and,
WHEREAS, Contel Corporation of Beaumont, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $2, 009. 00 per month with the
option to renew the contract annually for three (3) additional
years, if service is satisfactory, at an increase of six percent
per year; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted in the amount of $2,009. 00 per month is the lowest and
best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted above by Contel Corporation of Beaumont,
Texas in the amount of $2, 009. 00 per month be accepted by the City
of Beaumont for an annual maintenance agreement for the telephone
system.
