WHEREAS, on July 26 , 1989 , City Council awarded a
contract to Watkins Construction Co. in the amount of $56,885 . 00
for Rogers Park Playground improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $3 , 440. 00
was requested for additional work on the sidewalk; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed by the
Contractor and inspected by city staff and is in conformance with
the plans and specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
the project and make final payment to Watkins Construction Co. in
the amount of $8,256. 00 for Rogers Park Playground improvements .
