WHEREAS, bids were received fora one(1)year contract for the purchase of ready
mix concrete for use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities and Streets and
Drainage Divisions; and,
WHEREAS,Transit Mix Concrete and Materials, Beaumont,Texas, submitted a bid
as follows:
3,000 PSI -jobsite delivery $46.00/cu. yd.
Add/deduct per sack $3.00/sack
Delivery charge- 1/4 to 2 cu. yd.load, per occurrence $30.00
Delivery charge-2-1/4 to 4-3/4 cu. yd. load, per occurrence $20.00
3,000 PSI - pickup at plant $40.00/cu. yd.
Total Bid Amount $61,60 q,
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix
Concrete and Materials, Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete, Beaumont, Texas, for a one (1) year
contract for the purchase of ready mix concrete at the unit costs above-stated be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 3rd day of
February, 2004.
