WHEREAS, bids were received for a one (1) year contract for the purchase of no.
8 tower rock for use by the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, Martin Marietta Aggregates, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid forthe
purchase of tower rock at the unit cost of$18.50 per ton; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Martin Marietta
Aggregates, Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Martin Marietta Aggregates, Beaumont, Texas, for an annual
contract for the purchase of no. 8 tower rock at the unit cost of$18.50 per ton be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 3rd day of
February, 2004.
