R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Michel T. Halbouty has tendered a 6.34-acre
tract of land on the southeast corner of Gober Road and Garner
Road, as described on Exhibit "A attached hereto for the
development of a city park to be named in honor of Mr. Halbouty' s
father, Tom C. Halbouty; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose of
said donation and is of the opinion that the acceptance of said
donation of property is necessary and desirable and that same
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
the donation of Michael Halbouty of the tract of land described
in Exhibit "A" and to make application to the Texas Parks &
Wildlife Department for a grant to develop such park.
