R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is engaged in the
construction of a multi-year capital improvements program for major
streets; and,
WHEREAS, this program was developed approximately nine
(9) years ago utilizing funds from the Thoroughfare Improvement
Program Bond Issue and other sources; and,
WHEREAS, this program has been reviewed with the intent
of expediting completion of the remaining projects which are either
under construction or in the design state; and,
WHEREAS, an engineering cost analysis has been prepared
in order to determine the requirements for moving forward with the
program to bring the remaining projects to construction and
completion in an orderly and coordinated sequence and maximize the
chances of obtaining state participation as soon as funding is
available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the following allocations be, and they are hereby, established
for the Capital Improvements Program for major thoroughfares:
Concord $2 ,200,000.00
College 3,600,000.00
Crockett Connector 3,400,000.00
Liberty/Laurel II 900,000.00
Liberty/Laurel III 2,100,000.00
West Lucas 4,800,000.00
Major 1 ,450,000.00
Phelan Blvd. 80,000.00
MLK/Spur 380 400,000.00
