WHEREAS, on September 11 , 1989, bids were received for
the purchase of 456 , 000 water bills, 26,000 delinquent bills,
560 ,000 mailing envelopes and 560,000 courtesy return envelopes;
and,
WHEREAS, Texas Printing of Beaumont, Texas and Mail-Well
of Houston, Texas submitted the following bids:
Texas Printing
Water Bills $11 .47/thousand
Delinquent Bills 16 . 27/thousand
Mail-Well
Mailing Envelopes $11 .34/thousand
Courtesy Return Envs. 9.69/thousand
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted above are the lowest and best bids submitted and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Texas Printing and Mail-Well be accepted

by the City of Beaumont in the amounts listed above for the
purchase of water bills and envelopes.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
