WHEREAS, on August 15, 1989, bids were received for the
cleaning and repainting of the 1 .0 million gallon Southwest
Elevated Water Storage Tank at Washington Blvd. and Municipal
Drive; and,
WHEREAS, A-Way Tank Service, Inc. of Baton Rouge,
Louisiana submitted a bid in the amount of $27,990.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by A-Way Tank Service, Inc. is the lowest and best bid
submitted and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by A-Way Tank Service Inc. in the amount of
$27,990.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont for the cleaning and
repainting of the 1 .0 million gallon Southwest Elevated Water
Storage Tank at Washington Blvd. and Municipal Drive, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such work.
