WHEREAS, on November 4, 1988, City Council awarded a
contract to John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rental, Inc.
in the amount of $247,989.20 for offsite improvements in the
Stedman Building area including street work, sidewalks, paving
and curb and gutters; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order Nos. 1 and 2 have resulted in an
increase in the amount of $15, 317.63 making the new contract
amount $263,306.83; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed by the
Contractor and inspected by city staff and is in conformance with
the plans and specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
the project, approve Change Order No. 2, and make final payment
to John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rental, Inc. in the
amount of $58,393. 73 for offsite improvements in the Stedman
Building area including street work, sidewalks, paving and curb
and gutters.
