WHEREAS, Lewis Debes has donated a tract of land on the
southwest corner of Franklin and Victoria Streets as the site for
the restoration of the historic KCS Depot Building; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purposes
of said donation and is of the opinion that the acceptance of
said donation for the restoration of the historic KCS Depot
Building is necessary and desirable and that same should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT said tract of land donated by Lewis Debes to the City of
Beaumont, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be, and the
same is hereby, in all things accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 20th day of June , 1989 .

Being . 4442 acres of land, more or less , out of and a part of Lots
86 , 87, 88, 91 , 92 and 93, Block 8 of the Crary Addition to the
City of Beaumont , Jefferson County, Texas , according to the map or
plat of said Addition , recorded in Volume 3, Page 506 of the Deed
Records of 'Jefferson County, Texas , and being part of the same land
described in a Deed from Servomation Corooration to Le.-is Debes ,
dated February 17, 1978 as recorded in Volume 2055, Page 386, Deed
Records of Jefferson County , Texas , said . 4442 acres of land, more
or less being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows :

BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 87 , Block 8 of
the Crary Addition, said point also being the «'est right-
of-way line of Victoria Street ;
THENCE S 430 59 ' 18" E along the West right -of-watt- line
of Victoria Street , same being the East line of Lot 87
and Lot 88 for a total distance of 80. 00 ' to a point on
the East line of Lot 88 for the Southeast corner of the
herein described tract ;
THENCE S 46° 00' 11 " W parallel with the South line of Lot
88 for a distance of 150. 00 ' to a point in the NVest line
of Lot 88, said point being the Southwest corner of the
herein described tract ;
