WHEREAS, the Port of Beaumont Navigation District has
tendered a two hundred forty-seven (247) square foot tract of
land out of the David Brown League to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purposes
of said easement and is of the opinion that the acceptance of
said easement for construction of a lift station is necessary and
desirable and that same should be acceptable; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT said easement tendered by the Port of Beaumont Navigation
District to the City of Beaumont, described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby, in all things
accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 20th day of June , 1989.

GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT
PORT OF BEAUMONT NAVIGATION DISTRICT to CITY OF BEAUMONT
BEING a 247 square foot tract of land situated
in the David Brown League in Beaumont ,
Jefferson County, Texas and being out of that
certain tract of land described in a Deed from
Joe E. O' Fiel to the Port of Beaumont , dated
April 22, 1986 , and recorded under Film Code
No. 101 -40-0336 of the Deed Records of
Jefferson County , Texas , and said 247 square
foot tract of land being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows :
C0MENCING at the intersection of the East
line of Wallace Street and the North right -of-
way line of Buford Street ( 70 foot right -of-
way) ;
THENCE North 89 deg. 14 min . East along the
North right -of-way line of Buford Street a
distance of 212. 7 feet to an angle point ;
THENCE North 79 deg. 34 min. East along the
North right -of-way line of Buford Street a
distance of 178. 35 feet to a 3/4 inch iron rod
set for the Southwest and BEGINNING CORNER of
the tract of land herein described ;
THENCE continuing North 79 deg . 34 min . East
along the North right -of-way line of Buford
Street a distance of I5. 28 feet to a 3/4 inch
iron rod set at the Southwest corner of a 20
foot utility easement described in a Deed from
Joe E. O' Fiel to the City of Beaumont , dated
June 30, 1983 , and recorded under Film Code
No. 100-2-2315 of 'the Deed Records of
Jefferson County , Texas ;
THENCE North 00 deg. 30 min . East along the
West line of said 20 foot utility easement a
distance of 15 . 00 feet to a 3/4 inch iron rod
set ;
THENCE North 89 deg . 30 min . West a distance
of 15 . 00 feet to a 3/4 inch iron rod set ;
THENCE South 00 deg . 30 min. West a distance
of 17 . 90 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and
containing 247 square feet of land , more or
less .
