R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Star Enterprise, formerly Texaco, Inc. , has
requested the City of Beaumont to allow it to encroach into
Calder right-of-way adjacent to Lot 5, Catherine Howland Addition
(5624 Calder) for installation of a groundwater monitoring well
to trace concentrations of various pollutants at the location, as
depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS City staff has expended considerable time and
effort in investigating the effect of such encroachment upon the
City and utilities serving the same; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be equitable to allow
such encroachment at this time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
a License to Encroach to Star Enterprise, formerly Texaco, Inc. ,
for it to encroach into Calder right-of-way adjacent to Lot 5,
Catherine Howland Addition (5624 Calder) for installation of a
groundwater monitoring well to trace concentrations of various
pollutants at the location described herein for a one-time fee of
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) .
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 9th day of May , 1989.
