WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed the facts of
the claim of Minority Associates Contracting Organization, Inc.
( "MACO" ) vs. the City of Beaumont in an Executive Session
properly called and held; and,
WHEREAS, the Council authorized the settlement of the
claim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle
the claim of MACO vs. the City of Beaumont in the amount of
Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($17,500.00 ) and the
city' s claim against Michael Phelan by the payment by Phelan to
MACO of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00 ) .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the full and final
settlement of this claim is hereby ratified.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
