R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, a tax certificate was issued by the Assessor-
Collector of Taxes of Jefferson County, Texas, certifying that no
taxes were due for the years 1962 through 1982 on property
described as Lot 6 and the north twenty-seven feet (271 ) of Lot
5, Block 5, of the Park on Thomas Road Addition to the City of
Beaumont; and
WHEREAS, taxes were unpaid for the year 1981; and
WHEREAS, the property owner has tendered the total
taxes due for the year 1981 but has requested the waiver of
penalty and interest; and
WHEREAS, Section 33 . 02 of the Property Tax Code
provides for the waiver of such penalty and interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT penalty and interest on the above-described property be and
the same is hereby waived on the above property for the tax year
1981.
