WHEREAS, on November 7, 1988, bids were received for an
annual contract to furnish hot mix asphaltic concrete; and
WHEREAS, APAC-Texas, Inc. of Beaumont, Texas, submitted
the following bid:
Unit Price -------- $22.00/ton
Mileage from Plant-- 1 . 6 miles
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by APAC-Texas, Inc. is the lowest and best bid
submitted and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by APAC-Texas, Inc. be accepted by the
City of Beaumont in the amount listed for an annual contract to
furnish hot mix asphaltic concrete for use by the Street
Department.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 4th day of April , 1989.
