WHEREAS, Mr. Fred D. Heiner has applied to the County
for a refund of overpayment of 1988 city taxes in the amount of
Nine Hundred Twenty-One Dollars and Thirteen Cents ( $921 .13 ) ;
and,
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor/Collector has notified
the city of the error and has requested a refund of the above
amount; and,
WHEREAS, State law requires the approval of the City
Council for all tax refunds in excess of Five Hundred Dollars
($500 ) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the refund of Nine Hundred Twenty-One Dollars and Thirteen
Cents ( $921 .13 ) to Mr. Fred D. Heiner for the overpayment of 1988
city taxes be approved.
