WHEREAS, on February 6, 1989, bids were received for
the purchase of personal computers for the Police Department;
and,
WHEREAS, Beltron Computer Systems, Inc. and Entre
Computer Center submitted the following bids in the respective
amounts of $13,077.30 and $4,224.00 :
Beltron Computer Systems, Inc.
1 ) AT Compatible Systems with no mass storage
capabilities
2) 386 - Based Systems with 1 megabyte of random access
memory and minimal mass storage capabilities
4) Color monitors
5 ) Monochrome monitors
Entre Computer Center
6) System 36 Emulation Boards
7) 16 - Bit Communications Boards
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Beltron Computer Systems, Inc. and Entre
Computer Center are the lowest and best bids submitted and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Beltron Computer Systems, Inc. and
Entre Computer Center in the amounts stated above be accepted by
the City of Beaumont for the purchase of personal computers for
the Police Department.
