WHEREAS, on February 6, 1989, bids were received for
the purchase of ten ( 10 ) air masks and cylinders; and,
WHEREAS, Mine Safety Appliances submitted the following
bid:
Quantity Item Amount
10 Custom 4500 II Air $1 ,344.63 ea.
Mask with Quick - Fill
10 Fully - Wound $ 356.00 ea.
Composite Cylinder
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Mine Safety Appliances is the lowest and best
bid submitted and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Mine Safety Appliances in the total
amount of $17,006.30 be accepted by the City of Beaumont for the
purchase of ten ( 10 ) air masks and cylinders.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 14th day of February 1989.
