R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the following companies have railroad tracks
located in rights-of-way belonging to the City of Beaumont within
the city limits of said city:
Kansas City Southern Railway
Santa Fe Railroad Company
Southern Pacific Transportation Company
Union Pacific Railroad;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has established a
procedure for notifying the railroad companies in accordance with
the ordinances of the City of Beaumont and the law of the State
of Texas concerning which crossings are in need of maintenance
and repair; and
WHEREAS, the ordinances of the City of Beaumont provide
that the City Council shall direct the preparation of plans and
specifications for such improvements to railroad tracks within
the City of Beaumont as necessary to protect the health and
welfare of the citizens of the City of Beaumont; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for such
improvements have been prepared and presented to the City Council
and should be approved by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the plans and specifications for the repairs of all railroad
crossings within the City of Beaumont, as attached hereto as
Exhibit "A, " be and the same are hereby approved and, in
accordance with the ordinances of the City of Beaumont, the City

Engineer is authorized to notify any railroad within the City
whose tracks require repair and direct that repairs be made in
accordance with the attached plans within a reasonable period of
time.
